The motivation to read can be wanton compared to the undemanding luxuries of digital entertainment. Reading challenges encourage people to set a number of books to read within a time frame (usually a year) as motivation to read more.

Like any good millennial, I desire three things in this life: big media to stop farming my nostalgia for ludicrous cash grabs, a third space to build community outside of my home and work, and avocado toast.

Here’s the deal: I want to write more. Writing has always been my life’s passion, or at least it was supposed to be my life’s passion. It’s the act my soul has always yearned to do.
