The TOP SECRET to Packing Your Book Library

If you’ve been following my social media, you’ll know two things about me. One, I really really really like books to the point where it’s maybe a problem and two, I just moved. So even though I recently donated a whole box of books, I still had a ton of novels to pack and move to my new home.

Now, the last time I moved, I had a miserable time moving my library. I put all of it into only seven boxes that I found around the house and at least three of the boxes were impossible to move without a second person. This time around, I had nearly double the books and less help to carry the boxes around for me. It seemed like a daunting task for this hoarding bookworm and I was not looking forward to packing and/or moving my library. Hence, why I was willing to give away an entire box of books I adored.

But then I was introduced to Banker Boxes.

I know it’s only a box, but I’m in love with it.

I’m sure any tenured bookworm who enjoys moving is already aware of this top secret that makes packing any library 120% easier, but I was not. So now I’m writing this blog post so I can let other ignorant readers know of this terrific and cost affordable tool that actually made me look forward to packing because wow it’s so easy now.

This post isn’t even sponsored, that’s how committed I am to introducing every reader ever planning on ever packing their library to Bankers Boxes.

All hail our new book carrying overlords

These nifty little cardboard boxes are the perfect size for fitting books inside of them. I easily stacked and organized 10-15 books in each box, even if the books were thick hardbacks or tiny paperbacks. This limitation of space might be concerning to some readers, but listen to me: consider the weight distribution. Anything more than that will make the box too heavy to carry by yourself. Anything less will make the Banker Boxes’ practicality obsolete.

By the way, most (if not all) Banker Boxes are super easy to carry, pack, and set up. Mine had little holes on the side for my hands and easy to remove detachable lids. Once I was done with the boxes, I could fold them up again for easy storage. And then, when I need them again, all I have to do is re-fold them back to box-shape to use them again.

All in all, the Banker Boxes made moving my massive library super easy. I fit all of my books (and some bookshelf toys) into only twelve boxes and was able to carry them all inside my new home and up and down stairs with no issues. Since they were all the same size as well, they could fit easily into stacks so they could be stores or carted around easier without elaborate Tetris. Best of all, they’re readily available at most retailers at a super affordable cost.

A direct link? Oh no, no, no. You will not find the right Banker Box. The right Banker Box will find you.

TL;DR - Are you moving your library? Use Banker Boxes to load your library and unload a whole lot of stress.
